Spinach Tofu with Mushroom
This cuisine will always be found at any Chinese restaurant. Very suitable to be ordered when dining with family. This dish is one of the Chinese dishes that can be easily made at home with ingredients that are also cheap and very easily found in supermarkets or Asian stores. It’s time to bring the taste of restaurant into your kitchen.
Ingredients
Spinach Tofu Ingredients:
- 7 pcs eggs
- ½ tsp 1/2 tsp Salt
- ½ tsp 1/2 tsp Pepper
- ½ tsp 1/2 tsp Mushroom powder
- 1 tsp 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 500 ml Soy Milk (sugar free)
- 100 gr Spinach (chopped and squeeze the spinach until all the water comes out)
Sauce Ingredients:
- 100 gr Shimeji mushroom
- 4 cloves garlic (chopped)
- 2 tbsp Oyster sauce (tips: you can buy vegetarian version of oyster sauce if you are vegetarian)
- 1 tsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Maizena (mix it with a bit water)
- 300 ml water
- 1 tsp Musroom powder
- 1 tbsp Sesame oil
- 3 tbsp Cooking oil
- a pinch of sugar
Instructions
Instructions for Spinach Tofu:
- Beat the eggs and add salt, pepper, mushroom powder and garlic powder.
- Add soy milk and mix it well.
- Place baking paper into the buttom of baking form, then place the spinach on it.
- Add the mix of eggs and soy milk in the baking form.
- Steam for about 15-20 minutes, then cool it down for 15 minutes.
- Cut into 6-8 pcs
- Deep fried the spinach tofu until golden brown. You must be careful because the texture is very soft and fragile.
Instructions for Sauce:
- Heat the pan and add cooking oil.
- Add garlic and stir it until fragant.
- Add oyster sauce, soy sauce, mushroom powder, sesame oil and sugar. Stir and mix it well.
- Add Shimeji and stir it for 3 minutes.
- Add water and let it boiling.
- Add maizena and stir until thickened.
Platting:
- Place the spinach tofu on the plate.
- Pour the sauce over the spinach tofu.Enjoy it with your family.
